new areI like a new guy what are some conversation starters?

im talking to a new guy and im not really sure what to say, we've been talking for a few days and he is always the one to start the conversation.. i think it should be my turn but im not sure how to go about it.
You could start a simple conversation with them about your school. He is probably in at least one of your classes at school or after school programs, otherwise how would you ever see them besides maybe in the hallways? Well, if you're near them as the two of you are walking to class, ask if any homework was assigned the previous night, or if there was a meeting of some sort after school ended. They will almost definitely answer you, since you asked a pretty casual question. If they say yes, say you forgot to do it and were up late watching movies (list real movies that you've anew arectually seen off the top of your head). Then maybe, you could ask him if they have seen any of them, or maybe they'll say they saw one of them before you ask them. If he hasn't seen any of them, recommend one of them and say why. If he did watch any of the movies, start talking about your favorite parts, lines, etc.
NOTE- * Act casual as you are asking the question about homework, as if you would ask it to anybody from your class that passed by. That reduces awkwardness.

Do not make him feel awkward around you, then he'll probably try to avoid you, which isn't what we want here, do we? ;)
I would start with, "Hey."

and then when he goes, "Hey."

I would be like, "This is ******* random as ****, but have you ever heard of [insertfavouritebandhere]?!"

and if he goenew ares, "I ******* LOVE THEM"

it's a hit

and if he goes, "who are they"

you go, "dude listen to this ****" and pull out some music.

I don't know. That's what I do.
Just say hi. Always start with a *hi.
Then just go with the flow and ask him how his day was, how he's been,
After all the *heys and *how have you beens, just say what you want to
Say to him, say what your thinking. Be open and honest. and soon talking
To him will come easily.
'hey what you up to'
dont overanalyse, stay in your center
as long as you are inside your own nature you'll be fine
you can say something from the moment too you know, something that is in your mind
say "Hi"
