That is the best site out there for royalty free music. You can search for music in any genre you want (rap, rock, instrumental, classical, pop, etc..) and then stream CDs for free. If you like the songs, there is a download button where you can download eithecopyright free music for videosr the full CD or just a song or 2 off a CD for free.
So.. streaming the songs to hear them first is free and then if you like them, downloading is free and legal.
You can use public domain material (expired copyright or specifically dedicated to the public domain), but if you haven't yet looked into Creative Commons licenses, I would encourage you to do so.
A work with a Creative Commons license is copyrighted, but the CC license enables you to use the work according to the terms of the license fcopyright free music for videosor free, without needing to obtain permission. It's completely brilliant.
