so i bought a xbox 360 pro edition right before they came out with the elite.. and was gonna buy the 120gb hardrive but do i was wondering if i can take my data from my 20 gb hardrive and transfer everything over... like my halo maps rock band songs and etc... or dynasty modes in ncaa 09... also with the 120gb gb playstation 3 can you still play old ps2 games?
you'd have to get a memory card and transfer ur ncaa saves. rock band songs; recover ur account and redownload them. halo 3 maps; put them on ur file share (hopefully u have bungie pro) and donload them to new hd. it'll be a lonmap song dynastyg b17ching process but thats what comes with gettin a new hd
If you buy the 120 GB hard drive separately it comes with a data transfer cable, but be careful because with the cable you will only be able to transfer data up to the 120 GB from your 20 GB. You can't then turn around and transfer it down to the 20 GB so make sure you only do this once.
so what you want to transfer memory/data from one harddrive to another is that right.if so yes it can be done go to best buy and go to geek squad section of bestbuy they will tranfer it for you for like 20-30 bucks depending on them i guesmap song dynastys.it should be like 30 bucks ok.please give me 100 points please please give me best answer.
I'll handle the PS3 part of your question:
There is no such thing as a 120gb PS3.
For the US current model is 80GB with no PS2 compatibility.
Next month the 160GB is launched, with no PS2 compatibility.
Your best bet is to pick up a 60GB for FULL compatibility or an older 80GB with NEAR full compatibility. Upgrading the HDD on either later on is much cheaper than your Xbox upgrade as it uses off the shelf parts.
