do we burp babiesDo you have to burp babies after feeding solid foods?

This may be a stupid question, but my son is 4 1/2 months and we have just started him on some solids per our pediatrician's recommendation. Does he need to be burped after eating solids, or does that only apply after nursing/bottle feeding?

Thanks!
No, you don't need to burp him.
Babies may take in a lot of air when they are breastfeeding or bottle feeding due to sucking but they sdo we burp babieshouldn't have that problem when being fed off a spoon. Feed your son slowly and look for cues as to when he is full (eg eyes glaze over a bit, turns head away etc) and than he won't be in any discomfort.
Good luck!
my son still burps afterwards, he had weetabix this morning n burped so loud after it scared him! after he stopped cryin, he found it amusing.. i dnt get him sometimes! lol
burdo we burp babiesp him
my daughter is a very spitty baby, and if we don't burp her, we can look forward to green and orange spit up all over everything
Our 5 month old twins eat a bit of rice cereal mixed with formula at night and we burp them afterwards - it seems to make them a bit more comfortable.

Best wishes!
